Waukee Senior Places at National Actuarial Competition

Modeling the Future Challenge is a national scholarship competition aimed at introducing the actuarial profession to high school students. Rebecca Heidt, a senior at Waukee High School, entered into this competition as a team of her own. Her APEX instructor, Jesse Hunt, was her coach. Most other teams consisted of two to five people, but Rebecca had no problem sweeping the competition on her own. Rebecca placed fourth overall. Rebecca’s success came with a five-thousand-dollar scholarship to the college of her choice. Congratulations Rebecca, well deserved!
